Hey friends, I have something fun to share today! Early last year, I stumbled upon the Starbucks Been There mug for Louisiana at my local Starbucks (it is so cute and still one of my favorites) and my family has been collecting them ever since!
Starbucks has created mugs for each of the 50 states, as well as many different city versions from all over the world. We do have a few city mugs, but my husband and I quickly decided that buying a city AND a state mug for each travel destination was a little much. Every time we travel to a new state we make sure to stop by a Starbucks and grab a mug.
PRO TIP: The airports often have them as well, which helps a lot!
We do have a few mug buying rules in our house: 1) we don’t buy the city mugs 2) we do not buy mugs from the airport if we ONLY visit the airport for that state!
As of posting this we officially have 10 mugs collected! We just snagged Nevada, Illinois, AND Kentucky from my husbands speaking “tour” to two photography conference. Per our rule, technically Illinois was just a stop on our way from Las Vegas to Louisville, but we actually visited Chicago for a week in 2011, so we voted that one fair game.
After I got home, I pulled all of our mugs out of the cabinet I realized…there has to be a better way to keep track of which ones we have and which ones we do not. I searched on the internet for some sort of official Starbucks Been There checklist and could not find one. So I made one myself! And now I’m sharing it with you 🙂 Enjoy!
We would love to know how many Starbucks Been There mugs do YOU have? Do you have any Starbucks Been There mug collecting rules like we do? (Feel free to tag me on Instagram @createtrustdaily if you share a photo of your checklist!)
